It is the difficult part of life to get right job. The market requirements are changing day by day specially in IT field. So to compete in market you should be highly skilled. When I see the IT professional, they have one standard. Their writing and speaking skills are good. The way they give presentation is good. This all has inspired me a lot.

As I am beginner I have lot of skills to develop and many skills to improve. The basic skill for everyone is skills of writing and speaking but I am not so good in these skills. I have no habit of writing, my writing presentation is poor. So, to improve this skill I am reading different novels, journals, articles and newspapers. I am writing blogs in different topic for practice. Another field is speaking. To improve this I am watching movies and news, watching online lessons in YouTube and practicing with friends. Giving presentation is very important skill for future. I have to practice a lot to improve this skill. I am reading different blogs, articles, book about giving good presentation and to improving it. I am giving presentation in college projects that will help to improve. These are the basic skills in which I have to improve.

As I am IT student I have to improve in specific skills related to IT. I have to basic knowledge of object oriented programming but I have no idea about GUI and other stuffs like this. I have to learn more about object oriented programming to improve my concept. I am planning to join computer institute for improvement of my skills. I have knowledge of web design and PHP but I want to take it to top most level so I have to make improve in this field also.

Skills Attributes and Employment Development

It is the first semester and I have been studying 4 modules for past 6 weeks. The first module is STUDY SKILLS FOR COMPUTING. In this module I have been learning to improve my skills of writing, giving presentation, writing blogs, reflective writing, team work and many other skills which are very important to be successful in future. This module will be very helpful when we get into a business or jobs. This module helps to build the self/personal quality and way to interact with other peoples.

Second module is INTRODUCTION TO PROGRAMMING. In this module I have been learning the basic concepts of programming language. The programming language I have been learning is java. I further expected to learn more other programming language like C#, .Net, PHP, etc. It is an important module. This module helps to build different applications, software, website, games and many more in future.

My third module is LOGIC. I think this is the easiest module among 4 module. In this module I have been learning about propositions, logical connectives, logic gates, logical circuits, Boolean algebra, set, number bases conversion and many more. This module is all about computer mathematics. This module helps to build the concepts about building hardware like motherboard. It also helps when we do programming in different levels.

And my fourth and last module is PROBLEM SOLVING FOR IT. This is very interesting module. In this module I have been learning how to solve problems in systematic way, how to write algorithm and draw flow chart. Creativity and logic should be good to learn this module. This module helps to develop  and strengthen the creativity and logic of the student. This module will be helpful to solve the both predictable and unpredictable problems we could face in future. This is the hardest module for me.

Self-Assessment

As I am a bachelore student in IT, I have to write  blogs in different topics.I have finished one blog before in past week  and here  the next blog to write.I think writing blogs has improved my quality of writing somehow so I am writing this blog to make my writing quality,vocabulary and grammar more better.Also I am writing this blog to describe about my past achievements in academic sector and what I expect to learn during my course of study.

Going back to past and reviewing my-self I found I have great achievements in academic sector.I still remember when I was in class 6 there was a drawing competition on science in whole school .we have to draw related to science.I have drawn the internal structure of Ear and ranked 3rd in whole school.I am very good in mathematics subject.I used to score always 90+ in school and high school.while learning I can catch up practical subjects more quickly than theoretical subjects.I have passed my high school in science faculty so I have knowledge of physic, chemistry and biology. Learning about computer technologies is my passion.Everyday I search something new to learn.

Every person have weaknesses in some field so I do have some weaknesses .I do have some knowlegde  about computer technologies but I can not say  I am expert in it.I have only basic knowledge about programming and web desigining.

So, to overcome from my weaknesses and make my strength more bolder i am here in Islington college.Here I expect to learn about computer technologies to make my computer knowledge more strong.I expect to learn  different programming language like java,C++,...etc. and computer networking and security skills too.  I expect to learn the skills to make my writing more effective and grammar more accurate.Also I expect to learn the skills  to face and tackle the problems I could have in future.
